Finn Sködt trained as a graphic artist at the Graphic Institute of Denmark, Copenhagen, after spending some time at the Aarhus Academy of Fine Arts.

He works with graphic design, textile design, industrial design, painting, sculpture, decoration, ceramics, colour composition and plate glass.

Since the early 1980s, he has produced upholstery and curtain material for Kvadrat. He has also created colour schemes for many textiles by other designers associated with the company.
