Intern Product Development, Kvadrat Design Studio Hamburg
We are looking for a Product Development Intern to join the Design team in Hamburg for approximately 6 months starting as soon as possible.
In this position you will work proactively to assist in developing curtain textiles and rugs for the upcoming collection. As your daily work will include a variety of assignments you will need to accommodate different departments at the office and assist to coordinate multiple projects and tasks.
Your tasks will include but not be limited to:
Involvement in many steps of the product development, from the design process (e.g. woven constructions, colour palettes and technical drawings) to the introduction of new products in the market. Supporting the team in organizational and technical daily tasks. Research on design, art, sustainable materials, techniques and markets.
Your Competencies:
You are undergoing an education in textile design or fashion design. You have the ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and tasks. You are also organized, detail oriented, proactive and adaptable. You value teamwork and you are a strong communicator in both written and spoken English. A fair knowledge of German would be an advantage. A good understanding and feeling for colors is seen as an advantage, as well as a natural eye and interest in woven textiles. You also possess knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop and Excel.
