DESIGN STUDENT - SAHCO, COPENHAGEN

Are you a design student looking for an attractive student job that offers you the opportunity to learn more about the textile world?

Sahco is looking for a Design Development student to join the Design team in Copenhagen.
The position is available from August 2024 and we are looking for someone who can join the team for minimum 1 year preferable longer.

In this position you will be assisting the design team in daily tasks in developing curtain and upholstery textiles for the upcoming collection. As your daily work will include a variety of assignments you will need to accommodate varying departments at the office and coordinate multiple projects and tasks.

Your tasks will include but not be limited to:

• Support design team on seasonal tasks
• Organize and maintain current collection samples
• Cutting and organizing samples
• Update textile archive
• Update digital overviews
• Assist with colourcards and samples for testing
• Research related to competitors, artworks and seasonal inspiration
• Administrate freight and messaging service
• Office planning, present and handle logistics

Your Competencies

• Natural eye for and interest in woven textiles
• Excellent team-player
• Highly organized, proactive and adaptable
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and tasks
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
• Detail oriented
• Good understanding and feel for colours
• Excellent skills in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop as well as Excel
• Experience with digital artworks is preferred
• Studying textile design or fashion design
• A proactive approach to problem solving and ability to work independently
