For Salone del Mobile 2016 the Japanese designer Akira Minagawa created the delicate and dreamy installation FOREST COMES HOME for our Milan showroom. The installation was praised for its sophisticated yet playful quality achieved by delicate colours and shapes, and was included in Architectural Digest top 8 installations to see during Salone del Mobile. 

Akira Minagawa’s new textile collection for Kvadrat has beautifully been incorporated in the installation, showing off the textiles in a playful and alternative way. The new collection beautifully blends Japanese and Scandinavian design, resulting in a playful set of textiles with refined patterns, detailed embroidery and sophisticated nuances. 'It is essentially about the coexistence of nature and human life', says Minagawa about the collection.
