Kvadrat Kabarett is an animated film that celebrates the synergy between the textiles Maya and Jaali designed by Doshi Levien and released this winter.


The woollen upholstery textile Jaali was used to create opaque and sensual tailored forms in contrast with Maya, a curtain textile that is free flowing and transparent, used for the dresses.


This coming together of diverse personalities reminded Doshi Levien of the Kabarett clubs of the early twentieth century where artists congregated to push the boundaries of artistic expression.
