Kvadrat Acoustics solution comprising Soft Cells Broadline ceiling panels upholstered in Casa installed in the ceilings of the entrance lobby and spa.
The Sheraton Lake Como hotel is a destination for both business stays and leisure, set in a private park by Lake Como. With 135 guestrooms and suites, restaurants and bars, and dedicated event spaces, the hotel supports many types of guest activities throughout the day. The Kvadrat Acoustics solution supports a calm sound environment in shared spaces where guests arrive, meet, move through, and pause.
Following a major renovation completed in 2015, the hotel continued to evolve. A new spa area was added in 2024, followed by a refurbishment of the common areas and lobby in 2025. Laboratorio di Architettura shaped the interiors to feel composed and multifunctional, while keeping a clear connection to the serene setting of Lake Como.
The lobby and spa create different acoustic needs across the day. In the lobby, arrivals, conversation, and occasional business gatherings can quickly raise noise levels. In the spa, guests expect quieter circulation and a greater sense of privacy in corridors and treatment areas.
To meet these challenges without changing the interior expression, Kvadrat Acoustics Soft Cells Broadline panels upholstered in Casa were integrated into the ceilings of the entrance lobby and spa.The ceiling installation provides sound absorption, while keeping the architecture visually clean. Together, the spaces benefit from a controlled sound environment. The lobby supports everyday conversation and meetings, while the spa maintains a serene atmosphere suited to movement and treatment.
