Additional project facts
Acoustics: Soft Cells Broadline panels typically offer Class A broad sound absorption, as per ISO 11654
Flammability: the Soft Cells panels perform according to B-s1, d0 as per EN13501-1
The Soft Cells panels ensure optimal acoustic conditions in a series of individual, vibrant environments. Furthermore, they provide the ability to incorporate bespoke light fittings. The panels are upholstered in Casa and Ginger.
To help realise F3’s vision, the Soft Cells team created a number of special design elements. A bespoke metal upstand provides a frame for the triangular panels that form the ceiling in the Conference and Banqueting space, while curved Soft Cells panels with cut-outs for the lighting were produced for the NFL Suite.
Developing the facilities required an in depth understanding of how Players and teams need to prepare, perform and recover. Reflecting this, the new stadium incorporates the latest technologies, including configurable lighting, temperature controls and acoustic conditioning. Furthermore, through the measured use of branding and rigorous application of the materials palette, it provides a new yet familiar-feeling home for Spurs and visiting teams from the NFL.
Ruth Spring, Senior Project Designer F3:“Having worked with Kvadrat Soft Cells on projects over the last five years, we knew that the Soft Cell panels would be the ideal solution for these high-end spaces – incorporating excellent acoustic absorption with beautiful aesthetics, each panel tailored to the look and feel of each area. The versatility of the Soft Cells solution allowed us to give each space an individual identity whilst maintaining the high acoustic demands of these vibrant areas. The Kvadrat Soft Cells team, working with BASE Contracts, shared our philosophy of ‘collaboration is key. They worked with us at every stage from brief through to detailing and installation.”
