Our outdoor textiles

 

Our outdoor textiles are designed with a focus on minimising environmental impact. Like all Kvadrat textiles, our outdoor collection is PFAS-free, ensuring exceptional weather resistance and long-lasting durability. 

Our outdoor textiles have an outstanding soft touch complemented by a fluorocarbon-free finish that efficiently repels water, ensures rapid drying, and withstands chlorine, seawater, and artificial weathering. Moreover, unlike conventional technical weatherproof fabrics, our outdoor textiles are made using recycled polyester or a specially developed Trevira CS yarn, to minimise their impact on the environment, without compromising performance.

 

 
 

Azure Outdoor

The latest addition to our range of outdoor textiles is Margrethe Odgaard’s Azure Outdoor. It features a poetic colour palette, crafted to evoke a sense of light and colour within outdoor environments, complementing rather than overshadowing natural and architectural elements.

Pioneering PFAS-free textiles

Our outdoor collection is a testament to our continuous research into alternatives to conventional chemical substances and treatments. We have achieved remarkable results, leading the way in 2018 with the launch of Patio Outdoor, our first outdoor textile that moved away from PFAS textile impregnation. In 2024, we have taken the decisive step to make all our products completely free from PFAS, ensuring proactive communication with suppliers and rigorous testing.

Azure Outdoor


Azure Outdoor, designed by Margrethe Odgaard, is an outdoor upholstery textile made with a high proportion of recycled polyester. Featuring 13 colourways inspired by the changing light of the sky, its Dobby weave creates a textured appearance, enhancing both durability and water repellency.

Atrium Outdoor


Atrium Outdoor by Patricia Urquiola, features a plain base adorned with a subtly vibrant pattern. The palette consists of neutral yet characterful warm tones, always vivid and never predictable. It includes a range of rose and terracotta hues, alongside a variety of green nuances, and a signature bright yellow shade.

Patio Outdoor


Designed by Karina Nielsen Rios, Patio Outdoor has a subtle structure, which combines two coloured yarns in the warp and one in the weft. Depending on the level of contrast between the colours, Patio Outdoor appears either almost unicoloured or more textured. Its versatile palette combines both natural and neutral nuances, as well as bold highlight tones.

Tero Outdoor


Tero Outdoor by Ronan Bouroullec is a subtly graphic upholstery made from post-consumer recycled polyester. Tactile jacquard woven lines
crisscross its surface at various angles, creating an abstract, three-dimensional pattern. The textile’s expression draws further inspiration from landscapes, evoking the view of fields from a plane flying above.
