Intern for our Innovation Lab

Are you passionate about new materials and the future of textiles? We are looking for an intern for our Innovation Lab for a period of 6 months.
It is an opportunity to supplement your education with relevant experience within your subject and gain insight into the textile industry.

About Innovation Lab
Kvadrat Innovation Lab is our material innovation lab which sits at the cutting edge of our longstanding commitment to push the boundaries of textile design and material exploration. Our team of engineers seeks breakthrough fibers, yarns, materials, and production processes, which support our transition towards more circular products and more sustainable production.

Our research methodology is built on collaborative innovation: The Kvadrat Innovation Lab team is set up as an incubator and works on pioneering research projects with progressive universities, start-ups, and companies.

Your tasks will be
_ Research on new materials and markets.
_ R+D on strategical innovation projects and new materials (fibre, yarn, linear meter, finishing etc.).
_ Support product development teams in the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark.
_ Support in practical tasks.
_ Update overviews and templates.
_ Arrange and assist in planning of meetings.
_ Write meeting reports and follow up on decisions.

Your background
Your background is in Textile Technology or Textile Engineering. You are either studying to become a Textile engineer or a Material engineer.
You will be part of the Innovation Lab, a small team, working close to Product Development and the Sustainability team.

You are also
_ An excellent team-player.
_ Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable.
_ Able to manage and coordinate multiple projects and tasks.
_ A strong communicator both in written and spoken English.
_ Detail oriented.
_ Analytical.
_ A problem solver and have the ability to work independently.
_ Able to plan, conduct, analyse and present a research task.

What, where and when?
_An internship of minimum 6 month in one stretch.
_Full time.
_Working place is Ebeltoft, Denmark. It is not possible to work remote.
_When? Spring 2024 or Fall 2024.
