TABLEAU approaches design projects with a multidisciplinary mindset, breaking down the boundaries between art and design. The in-house team of designers creates bespoke experiences from floral design and botanical installations, exhibitions, retail and conceptual spaces, as well as object and furniture design. Guided by a commitment to challenging existing norms in the world of art and design, TABLEAU pushes creative boundaries to make space for new ideas.

About Patricia Urquiola

Patricia Urquiola studied architecture and design at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and completed her studies at the Politecnico di Milano (Technical University of Milan), where she graduated under the mentorship of Achille Castiglioni. She worked with Vico Magistretti at De Padova and later as head of design at Lissoni and Partners. In 2001, she founded her own studio in Milan, specialising in industrial product design, architecture, art direction and strategy consulting.

Regos

Regos is a knitted upholstery textile crafted in the Netherlands using a locally produced filling yarn, primarily made from Kvadrat Febrik’s own post-industrial waste. The design of the textile explores the concept of digitised natural textures and the codification of textile techniques. The name derives from “regolith”, which refers to the loose, heterogeneous layer which covers solid bedrock, like that seen on the lunar surface.

Forestview

Forestview is a woollen upholstery textile with an intricate, tactile surface and an omnidirectional, multicoloured pattern evoking Alpine forests. Inspired by patterns found in arboreal structures, it digitises and recreates the veins found in wood through advanced jacquard weaving techniques and a sophisticated colour system. This approach gives the textile a topographic surface of geometric, pine-like forms that is alive with subtle movement.

Woodtrace

Woodtrace is a dense, soft curtain textile which reinterprets the intricacies of wood grain into a modern textile expression. It has a jacquard woven construction and is crafted exclusively from recycled polyester made from post-consumer plastic bottles. The curtain’s omnidirectional design refines and upscales wood grain pattern into a rhythmic, digitally influenced geometric composition.

Grassland

Grassland is soft, dense plain curtain textile with a mélange surface. It is woven with recycled polyester made from post-consumer plastic bottles. Inspired by open grasslands, the curtain combines four coloured yarns in a jacquard weave, creating a harmonic play of intricate blades in different hues.

Daybreak 3

Daybreak 3 is a unicoloured, transparent curtain with an open structure. An iteration of a perennial design, it is crafted from 100% recycled yarns and comes in a reimagined colour palette. Tactile irregularities play across the surface of the textile, creating a natural look reminiscent of linen.
