Tuch and Bogen by Roman Signer

Ebeltoft, 2009

Kvadrat commissioned celebrated Swiss artist Roman Signer to create site-specific art for our headquarters in Ebeltoft using our own textiles as a starting point. Signer produced two extraordinary time sculptures, momentary installations, called Tuch and Bogen.

Bogen involved launching 100m of our Air 4 fabric into the air via a large purpose-built rocket. A textile bow momentarily filled the sky before floating back to earth.

For Tuch, a 4x6m length of Air 4 was also shot into the air. Signer described the effect as creating a; “Free hanging theatre curtain that covers the landscape for a moment.”
