Satu Montanari
Finnish textile designer Satu Montanari studied at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki. Nature’s endlessly rich and varied colour palette is her greatest source of inspiration; the Finnish landscape clearly inspiring her early work.
Montanari went on to live in Italy for a decade where the warm colours of southern Europe transposed those of the cool north and influenced her recent textiles such as the collection ‘My Italian Garden’ for Kvadrat. Her work particularly stands out for its humanity, simplicity and functionality.
