Energy-efficient sunlight reflection and insulation
To achieve their outstanding reflectance performance, an ultra-thin layer of aluminium is applied to one side of the metallised curtain textile. The advanced technical backing effectively reflects sunlight to keep an interior cool in the summer, and it works as an insulating layer in the winter to keep warmth in.
Thermal comfort
Ideal for buildings with large window façades, metallised textiles reduce the need for heating in winter and cooling in summer due to the high reflection of the thin layer of aluminium. Metallised curtains provide an additional layer of insulation, offering effective solar heat gain control (g-value) and improved insulation (U-value), thereby reducing energy consumption. White Reflect
White Reflect by Louise Sigvardt offers exceptional solar reflectance and glare control by uniting an un-dyed white front layer, woven from Trevira CS, with an aluminium backing. Available only in white, the curtain Featuring a Panama binding which softens the drape of the high-performance metallised layer and creates a shimmering translucency.
Care and maintenance
Metallised curtains, with their aluminium backing, are sensitive to mechanical stress and chemical reactions. To ensure they retain their appearance and effectiveness over time, proper care and maintenance are essential.

For ongoing care and maintenance of metallised curtains, always follow the instructions closely, as cleaning may slightly reduce reflectivity. Strong alkaline detergents, bleach, optical brighteners and chlorine-based agents must be avoided.
From sewing to transport and installation, careful handling of metallised curtains is essential. We recommend wearing white textile gloves to avoid fingerprints and using a curtain draw rod to protect the surface. The thin metallic layer is vulnerable to creasing, so wrinkles should be avoided; if necessary, light creases can be removed on the colour side by gently ironing without steam.
