Product description

Drops is a curtain that particularly stands out for its tactility and elegant interplay of colours. It features a double yarn intertwined in a looped manner and set against a white, grey or black transparent background. Woven drops slightly protrude from the surface of the stripes, and appear to ‘flow’ over the textile.

The colourways for Drops include understated, natural tones, such as pale grey, aubergine and earth brown, as well as more luminous tones, such as yellow and pink.

When the curtain is draped, or viewed from different angles, these different colour-settings combine to create a variety of subtle yet striking nuances. The colour of the background also appears to change depending on the way the stripes combine colours.

Performance
  • LightFastness {{site.selectedConfiguration.lightFastness}}

    ISO 105-B02

    Lightfastness relates to the ability of a textile to retain its colour under light. When testing for lightfastness, samples are exposed to artificial daylight for a specified period.

    The evaluation scale ranges from 1 (worst) to 8 (best). An increase of one point corresponds to a doubling of the lightfastness, i.e. the same fading takes twice as long.

  • Visual light transmission {{site.selectedConfiguration.lightTransmission}}%

    Light transmittance indicates the percentage of the visible light penetrating the textile. Densely woven textiles in dark colours usually have a lower light transmittance, whereas loosely woven fabrics in light colours allow more light to pass through.

  • Fire tests NFPA 701 • EN 13 773 class 1 • DIN 4102 B1 • NF P 92 507 M1 • JIS L 1091 A-1 D • UNI 9177 Classe 1 • BS 5867 part 2 type B • IMO FTP Code 2010 Part 7 • EN 13501-1, B-s1, d0 • CAN ULC S102 • CAN ULC S109 • IMO FTP Code 2010 Part 5 • ASTM E84 Class A Unadhered

    There are differing requirements concerning the flame-retardancy of textiles dependent on the area of application, country or even region. Our textiles pass the majority of international standards and are also tested for a selection of regional requirements.

Care instructions curtain textiles

Regular cleaning is important in order to keep the curtain textile looking its best and to prolong its life. Dust and dirt wear down the textile and also reduce its fire-retardant properties.

  • Regular care

    If possible, we recommend washing curtains once a year. If used heavily, a more frequent cleaning may be appropriate. All curtain fabrics by Kvadrat and Sahco are supplied with a care label. We recommend the use of detergent without optical bleach for all items in which, according to care instructions, washing is possible. Please take into account a possible shrinkage between 1–4 %. It is always possible to wash at a lower temperature that the one specified for light soiling. Please contact a professional dry cleaner if dry cleaning is the only option for maintenance. A professional dry cleaner may also assist in working out maintenance schedules which ensure that the fabrics are maintained properly so that a good indoor climate and maximum duration of the curtains are achieved.
