Product description

The pure use of wool is associated with softness, insulation and comfort. Coastland transforms these attributes into lightness and transparency – while still retaining an appealing sense of warmth. It migrates the rich experience of wearing a cosy garment into the idea of dressing architectural spaces.

Coastland’s Twill weave, which originates from the world of high fashion, plays with contradictions: coolness and warmth – and transparency and visibility. This expressive construction also lends the curtain a contemporary graphic touch.

The colour scheme for Coastland takes notes from nature while referring to nuances of stone, wood, sand and organic shades like Basalt, Light Wood, Sahara, Dark Sepia, Olive Ochre and Dark Moss.

Performance
  • LightFastness {{site.selectedConfiguration.lightFastness}}

    ISO 105-B02

    Lightfastness relates to the ability of a textile to retain its colour under light. When testing for lightfastness, samples are exposed to artificial daylight for a specified period.

    The evaluation scale ranges from 1 (worst) to 8 (best). An increase of one point corresponds to a doubling of the lightfastness, i.e. the same fading takes twice as long.

Care instructions curtain textiles

Regular cleaning is important in order to keep the curtain textile looking its best and to prolong its life. Dust and dirt wear down the textile and also reduce its fire-retardant properties.

  • Regular care

    If possible, we recommend washing curtains once a year. If used heavily, a more frequent cleaning may be appropriate. All curtain fabrics by Kvadrat and Sahco are supplied with a care label. We recommend the use of detergent without optical bleach for all items in which, according to care instructions, washing is possible. Please take into account a possible shrinkage between 1–4 %. It is always possible to wash at a lower temperature that the one specified for light soiling. Please contact a professional dry cleaner if dry cleaning is the only option for maintenance. A professional dry cleaner may also assist in working out maintenance schedules which ensure that the fabrics are maintained properly so that a good indoor climate and maximum duration of the curtains are achieved.
