Product description

Soft, smooth and silky in look and touch, Float is a dense plain that expresses cool elegance through its fluid drape and fine shine. Made of the material lyocell, which is of botanic origin, it is constructed with a strong, durable weave.

The colour palette is modulated and mirrors the organic sources used to craft the material. It comprises a subtle scale of nuances that includes Eucalyptus, Pale Khaki, Light Red Oak, Aqua and Blue Ash, Natural Offwhite and Stony Grey.

Float offers multiple uses, including vibrant mix-and-match combinations with its transparent partner Floating (see next page).

Performance
  • LightFastness {{site.selectedConfiguration.lightFastness}}

    ISO 105-B02

    Lightfastness relates to the ability of a textile to retain its colour under light. When testing for lightfastness, samples are exposed to artificial daylight for a specified period.

    The evaluation scale ranges from 1 (worst) to 8 (best). An increase of one point corresponds to a doubling of the lightfastness, i.e. the same fading takes twice as long.

  • Absorption 0.30/Class D (Absorption flat) 0.40/Class D (Absorption folded)

    EN ISO 354

    Acoustic absorption is indicated as αw-value which approximately corresponds to the percentage of sound absorbed. For instance, an αw-value of 0,4 translates into 40% absorption of sound.  Acoustic absorption of a textile is measured in its flat and draped state.

Care instructions curtain textiles

Regular cleaning is important in order to keep the curtain textile looking its best and to prolong its life. Dust and dirt wear down the textile and also reduce its fire-retardant properties.

  • Regular care

    If possible, we recommend washing curtains once a year. If used heavily, a more frequent cleaning may be appropriate. All curtain fabrics by Kvadrat and Sahco are supplied with a care label. We recommend the use of detergent without optical bleach for all items in which, according to care instructions, washing is possible. Please take into account a possible shrinkage between 1–4 %. It is always possible to wash at a lower temperature that the one specified for light soiling. Please contact a professional dry cleaner if dry cleaning is the only option for maintenance. A professional dry cleaner may also assist in working out maintenance schedules which ensure that the fabrics are maintained properly so that a good indoor climate and maximum duration of the curtains are achieved.
