Untitled_AB1 is a fil coupé that interprets the surface layers of Alain Biltereyst's artworks through a sophisticated dialogue between its construction, which is woven with matt, recycled spun yarns, and its dense to semi-transparent elements.
The curtain has a cotton-like hand and offers the largest scale representation of the collection's geometric forms. Consequently, it fills space with a direct, almost typographic graphic presence. Untitled_AB1 comes in vibrant signal colours that boldly contrast against its white ground.
Lightfastness relates to the ability of a textile to retain its colour under light. When testing for lightfastness, samples are exposed to artificial daylight for a specified period.
The evaluation scale ranges from 1 (worst) to 8 (best). An increase of one point corresponds to a doubling of the lightfastness, i.e. the same fading takes twice as long.

EN ISO 9053-1
Airflow resistance influences the sound absorbing qualities of a textile. Typically, the denser the construction of the textile, the higher the value.

There are differing requirements concerning the flame-retardancy of textiles dependent on the area of application, country or even region. Our textiles pass the majority of international standards and are also tested for a selection of regional requirements.

Life is a collage of the natural and the cultural. The Quotes collection explores this idea by quoting aspects of lived urban and organic experiences –investigating these interactions through bold graphics and vibrant material dimensions in contrasting colour expressions.
Regular cleaning is important in order to keep the curtain textile looking its best and to prolong its life. Dust and dirt wear down the textile and also reduce its fire-retardant properties.
If possible, we recommend washing curtains once a year. If used heavily, a more frequent cleaning may be appropriate. All curtain fabrics by Kvadrat and Kinnasand are supplied bearing a maintenance label. We recommend the use of a light duty detergent without optical brighteners for all items in which, according to care instructions, washing is possible. In order to reduce the risk of allergy problems, we recommend to use washing detergents that do not contain optical bleach, perfume or colorants. Please take into account a possible shrinkage between 1 – 3 %. For more detailed information, we recommend contacting a professional dry cleaner and/or laundry. A professional dry cleaner may also assist in working out maintenance schedules which ensure that the fabrics are maintained properly so that a good indoor climate and maximum duration of the curtains are achieved.
