Philips HQ

Project
The Philips headquarters for Germany, Austria and Switzerland is located in Hamburg, Germany. The futuristic new building, which combines research, development and production under one roof, plays the central role at the Philips Campus. Headquarters is spanning six floors, the interior is designed by Seel Bobsin Partner and is based around a ‘work place innovation’ concept. This reflects modern working approaches and combines both functional and inspirational rooms.

Solution
Kvadrat textiles are specified throughout the building. Divina MelangeHallingdal 65Remix and Tonus are used on assorted furniture, such as desk screens, room dividers, stools and lounge pieces. In the canteen the seating is upholstered with Vineyard by Maharam and Divina Melange.

Soft Cells are also used in different areas to enhance the acoustic quality of the interior. A total of 315 wall mounted Soft Cells panels covering over 1,000 m2 are seamlessly integrated into open-space areas and meeting rooms. They are covered with DivinaDivina Melange and Topas, and match the signage and orientation system developed by SBP.

'We have used a variety of different qualities and collections from Kvadrat for the interior and special furniture to fulfill the different functional requirements and match the design concepts. The immense diversity of colour and structure can be experienced throughout the building. Particularly the Soft Cells stand out thanks to their striking colour range and excellent acoustic performance.' Kim Marc Bobsin, Seel Bobsin Partner (SBP)
