Constance Guisset | Windmills

Curated by Constance Rubini

Much of Parisian designer Constance Guisset’s work involves movement, and Windmills is no exception – a playful rotating seat on which one can sit or lie. With the motion of a wheel that operates thanks to a ball-bearing system, the structure turns softly and fluidly, its helicoid shape creates a visual illusion of a never-ending wave.

Windmills is upholstered with a palette of multi-hued fabric, and the result is reminiscent of historical colour-wheels. Constance Guisset’s idea was to celebrate the incredible range of shades in the Hallingdal collection in a light way. Her piece is intended as an enjoyable seat for use in waiting areas, or a soft playground for children.
