XYZ is a piece from the Barcelona brand Mixing Media, designed by Martí Guixé. An ultra simple platform consisting of three axis: X, Y and Z, on four legs, the furniture is deliberately ambiguous as to its functionality.

Provoking artistic analysis beyond that usually afforded to furniture, XYZ is upholstered with Hallingdal 65 in an elemental and historically complex color palette such as red, black and white. Through this the piece is given further depth both from a contextual point of view, and an optical one.
