Open Collab areas at the Intuit Bayshore Building integrate an array of Kvadrat textiles and rugs to support wellbeing, personal connection, and active interaction. Like all the interior spaces at the campus, they are redesigned to reflect the shift towards the post-pandemic hybrid model.

"Open Collab areas offer employees a break from the traditional desk, encouraging collaboration and creativity. Kvadrat's bold upholstery and rugs perfectly complement the active atmosphere of these spaces."

Sara Nelson, Senior Designer at Clive Wilkinson Architects

Enhancing workplace design

The textiles are specified in subtly energising colours on sofas, chairs, pouffes and pillows in diverse ‘neighbourhoods’ within the building. Sofas are upholstered in Steelcut Quartet, Steelcut Trio, Remix 3, Sisu and Hallingdal 65. Meanwhile, Divina Melange, Divina, Vanir and Vidar 4 are chosen for the pouffes.

Tonus and Hallingdal 65 are employed on different types of chairs. Pillows crafted from Letters and a scale of rugs - Aram 2, Kelim Untitled AB14, Kelim Coloured Fringes, Kelim Cross Coloured Fringes, and Dashes - introduce further dimensions of colour, comfort and tactility.

Supporting wellbeing through textiles

Together, the upholsteries and rugs contribute towards creating flexible, human-scaled environments that provide each team with space for collaboration, concentration, and socialisation.

The four-story, 161,000 sf project is the second ground-up office building on the software company's Mountain View campus. A LEED Platinum building, it brings to life progressive workspace thinking by providing 960 employees with a variety of spaces to support their ever-evolving needs.
