Kvadrat takes majority stake in Dutch textile manufacturer Gaudium

A successful, long-standing partnership between Kvadrat and Dutch weaving facility Gaudium is set to grow even closer, as Kvadrat announces its decision to increase its stake in the company from 10% to 87%.

Gaudium is producing over 400,000 metres of textile for Kvadrat every year and is a key supply partner. The two companies have worked together since Gaudium’s foundation in 1980. The acquisition hereby furthers Kvadrat’s vertical integration and increased focus on production capabilities. Kvadrat has also engaged itself in part-ownership of Wooltex in England, and Innvik Sellgren in Norway.

This next step emphasises the future development of a new level in shared reach and further efficiency methods of production.

Gaudium’s high technological capabilities in producing special designs will enhance our possibilities to offer a wider range of Trevira CS curtains and upholstery textiles in polyester and recycled polyester to our clients.”
