Ronan Bouroullec

Ronan Bouroullec is a globally acclaimed designer and artist Kvadrat has extensively collaborated with. From furniture and textiles to installation, architectural projects and artworks, Ronan Bouroullec’s designs are characterised by simplicity, balance, and attention to detail.
 
Trained in contemporary art and design, Ronan Bouroullec is a graduate of Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers and the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs. In 1999, together with his brother Erwan Bouroullec, he co-founded Bouroullec Studio in Paris. Since its foundation, the design Studio has collaborated with a roaster of leading brands within the industry. Ronan and Erwan are long-time collaborators with Kvadrat. They have designed our showroom concept, as well as numerous textiles and textile-related designs, installations, Kvadrat Shade roller blinds, and Clouds, a modular textile wall system.
 
In addition to commercial projects, Ronan Bouroullec also devotes time to drawing, which has played an important part in his daily life since childhood. In recent years, his intuitive artworks have been presented in various publications and exhibitions, including the Art Institute of Chicago, Cooper-Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, the Giorgio Mastinu Fine Art Gallery, Galerie Kreo, Licht Gallery, and Casa Mutina.
