Intern, Sustainability, Kvadrat
Founded in Denmark in 1968, Kvadrat is rooted in Scandinavia’s renowned design heritage. Today, we are recognized internationally for pushing the boundaries of textile innovation and creating high-quality upholstery and curtain fabrics, rugs, and acoustic solutions for both commercial and residential spaces.
We are now looking for an intern for our Sustainability department for Spring 2027 (January/February - May/June) who wants to gain hands-on experience in an international design company where creativity, innovation, and collaboration are at the core.
Throughout the internship, you will work closely together with experienced colleagues and contribute to the team’s projects while developing your own skills. You will also be a part of our network “Kvadrat Student” where you get participate in both academic and social events with out other interns, student helpers, and trainees.
About the Role
We are looking for a colleague to help us make sustainability clear, engaging and actionable for our employees, sales teams and clients.
Working at the intersection of Sustainability and Marketing, you will help translate complex sustainability topics, data and certifications into short, accessible and visually engaging communication. You should be comfortable working with data and finding effective ways to visualise it, while having the creativity to turn complex information into simple messages and stories.
At the same time, you will help ensure that our sustainability claims remain credible and aligned with evolving EU requirements on environmental communication.
Key Activities
- Strengthen our sustainability communication: Review Kvadrat's existing sustainability communication and identify opportunities to make it clearer, more engaging and more consistent.
- Turn data into stories: Work with sustainability data and results to identify key insights and translate them into simple visualisations, messages and communication materials.
- Support Sales: Gather feedback from our sales organisation and redesign our annual sustainability one-pagers and materials to make them more practical in client conversations.
- Develop internal communication channels: Create a framework for a “sustainability newsletter” which informs the wider organisation about key sustainability activities and achievements.
- Create learning content: Develop short videos and other engaging formats explaining key sustainability topics such as EU Ecolabel, wool, EPDs and SBTi.
- Support responsible environmental claims: Help review sustainability communication against evolving EU requirements and translate regulatory principles into practical guidance for colleagues.

Practical Information about the Internship

- The internship period will be agreed upon individually, but we envision it lasting 4-6 months.
- Our office is located with easy access to public transportation.
- The internship is unpaid but includes free lunch
