Kvadrat Acoustics solution comprising Soft Cells Broadline panels, printed with artwork
A Kvadrat Acoustics solution, featuring a printed HD artwork by Dominik Bulka, is installed on the ceiling of the main lobby of the 25hours Hotel Dubai. The 434-room venue is located near the Dubai Financial Centre. The artwork is entitled “Under the Same Sky” and features a humorous interpretation of constellations in the sky. It ties in with the concept of the hotel, which has roots in authenticity, local stories, and the lifestyles of Bedouins and modern travellers.
The 72 Soft Cells Broadline acoustic ceiling panels comprising the acoustic solution deliver a pure aesthetic and Class A sound absorption. Consequently, they contribute to a comfortable acoustic environment with excellent speech intelligibility. In addition, the Soft Cells panels enable the architects to seamlessly integrate 119 openings for LED lights, speakers, smoke detectors, sprinklers, and emergency lights. They also allow for easy access to the building services channels.
Aleksandra Nastic, senior Associate and interior design lead, Woods Bagot: “Storytelling was the foundation of creating this charming and soulful place. Reviving the story of ancient Nomad travellers, our aim was to create a place with local ambience, which speaks to your heart easily and naturally becomes your home.”
