BCXSY

BCXSY is an Amsterdam-based interdisciplinary collaboration between designers Boaz Cohen (Israel, 1978) and Sayaka Yamamoto (Japan, 1984). Since 2007, BCXSY has engaged in a wide range of projects in The Netherlands and beyond. Offering a balanced combination of talents, the studio’s approach emphasises personal experience, human interaction and emotional awareness. The artful intertwining of the specific and bespoke with the universal and commercial is a hallmark of its practice. The studio has gained international recognition for its dedication to socially responsive projects, and its award-winning work has been featured at prestigious design events. BCXSY designs are held in a number of institutional collections, including those of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, the Shanghai Glass Museum, and the TextielMuseum in Tilburg. Working with a variety of craft workshops and commercial initiatives, BCXSY has produced projects with partner organisations including H. Stern, J. & L. Lobmeyr, Philips Lighting, Spazio Rossana Orlandi, Wallpaper*, Domaine de Boisbuchet and Calico Wallpaper.
