Melu Acoustic is ontworpen door Petra Haikonen, een textielontwerper gespecialiseerd in akoestische gordijnen. Het heeft een zachte, linnenachtige uitdrukking en biedt geluiddemping van klasse B in gevouwen toestand.Het speciale bandgaren dat is gebruikt om Melu Acoustic te maken, geeft het gordijn een subtiele glans. Hoewel het dichter is dan het akoestische gordijn Drops Acoustic, laat het toch wat licht door.In de praktijk betekent dit dat Melu Acoustic, ondanks dat het geen blackout of dimout is, een gedeeltelijke

transparantie combineert met uitstekende geluidsabsorptiemogelijkheden. Dit onderscheidthet van andere akoestische gordijnen.

Melu Acoustic kan worden geleverd in 10 aardachtige, natuurlijke kleuren met een delicate glans. Naarmate het licht verandert, blijft de manier waarop het gordijn deze

tinten uitdrukt evolueren, waardoor het een levendige uitstraling krijgt.

    Lightfastness relates to the ability of a textile to retain its colour under light. When testing for lightfastness, samples are exposed to artificial daylight for a specified period.

    The evaluation scale ranges from 1 (worst) to 8 (best). An increase of one point corresponds to a doubling of the lightfastness, i.e. the same fading takes twice as long.

    Light transmittance indicates the percentage of the visible light penetrating the textile. Densely woven textiles in dark colours usually have a lower light transmittance, whereas loosely woven fabrics in light colours allow more light to pass through.

    Acoustic absorption is indicated as αw-value which approximately corresponds to the percentage of sound absorbed. For instance, an αw-value of 0,4 translates into 40% absorption of sound.  Acoustic absorption of a textile is measured in its flat and draped state.

Care instructions curtain textiles

Regular cleaning is important in order to keep the curtain textile looking its best and to prolong its life. Dust and dirt wear down the textile and also reduce its fire-retardant properties.

  • Regelmatige reiniging

    We raden aan de gordijnen één keer per jaar te wassen. Bij intensief gebruik raden wij aan regelmatiger te wassen. Alle gordijnstoffen van Kvadrat en Kinnasand worden geleverd met onderhoudsetiketten. We raden af om wasdmiddel met optisch bleekwater, parfum of kleurstoffen te gebruiken, om het risico op allergieproblemen te beperken. Wij adviseren het gebruik van een licht reinigingsmiddel zonder optische bleekmiddelen voor alle items waarin wassen volgens de wasinstructies mogelijk is. Houd rekening met een mogelijke krimp tussen 1 - 3%.
