Curtains
Two
Crafted from organic cotton, Two is a fresh, pinstriped curtain with a refined sheen. It is woven in room height and can therefore be hung vertically and horizontally. It is soft yet robust and dense.
Little square
Little Square is a beautiful matt basic crafted from a specially developed recycled, flame retardant yarn. It has a sophisticated, natural expression with a dry hand and alternating linen-like slubs.
Shutter
Shutter´s fine and dense dim out construction particularly stands out for its soft drape and matt metallic shimmer, which derives from an additional advanced finishing technique.
Soft Light
Soft Light embodies a graphic materialisation of a fine grid. It unites two differently coloured transparent grids. Due to this double-woven construction and its delicate shine, the curtain’s colours diffuse into each other to an almost surreal effect.
Raffia Leno
Raffia Leno offers a chainmail-like structure, which creates a characterful interplay between matt linen and shiny viscose yarns. As you look at the curtain in the light, vertical stripes emerge from its surface while different layers of its multidimensional structure are revealed.
Back up
Back Up is a shimmering, contemporary moiré fabric with a sensuous, punctured look and a fluid drape. The curtain derives its tactile undulating surface, which offers an eye- catching sense of movement, from the binding points of its double-layered construction.
Untitled curtains, part of the Quotes collection, embody Alain Biltereyst´s artwork through an unprecedented medium: soft and fluid textiles, in vibrant and contrasting colours and tones. Playing with the perception of order, structure and light, the curtains are dominated by Alain Biltereyst signature patterns. An interaction between vertical and horizontal lines creates a subtle sense of movement and multi-dimensionality, offering a scale of opportunities to create vibrant, seamless combinations.
Untitled_AB1
Untitled_AB1 is a fil coupé that interprets the surface layers of Alain Biltereyst's artworks through a sophisticated dialogue between its construction, which is woven with matt, recycled spun yarns, and its dense to semi-transparent elements.
Untitled_AB2
Untitled_AB2 acts like an artist's canvas, playing with the perception of order, structure, and light transmittance. Its calm vertical and horizontal lines interact to create a sense of dimensionality and movement.
Untitled_AB3
Untitled_AB3 is an extremely dense dim out that features the same design as Untitled_AB2. However, in contrast, it expresses the line as a motif through the prism of a fine, almost painted materiality and an elegant matt lustre.
Untitled_AB4
Untitled_AB4 explores sequence, layering and graphic identity through two ordering systems: the transition from horizontal to vertical and the gradation from transparent to dense. Surprisingly for a curtain crafted using the burnout technique, Untitled_AB4 is flame retardant.
Untitled_AB5
Untitled_AB5 has a quiet typographic presence and embodies subtle horizontal and vertical movement. The contrasting graphic forms of the design – a downscaled rendering of the Untitled_AB1 design – play with multidimensionality and motion.
Untitled_AB6
Untitled_AB6 combines rich dimensionality with a matt and glossy surface. Crafted with metallic foil yarns, it translates the visual experience of acrylics applied to natural canvas – the rich wetness and extreme volume of the paints – into the medium of textiles.
