Waves is an acoustic curtain by Kvadrat Acoustics. Initially offered as a custom-made acoustic solution, Waves is now a standard product within the Kvadrat Acoustics’ range of acoustic solutions, following years of prototyping and successful installations.
Based on patented principles, the curtain comprises three or four layers depending on the desired acoustic performance: a Kvadrat textile on the front and back with either one or two sound-reducing layers as the inner core. This multilayered design delivers targeted sound-reducing acoustic properties and a flawless wave-like drape by integrating rhythmically arranged patented tapes and hooks that reduce friction between the layers.

Weight pr. m2 between 1.5-2.4 kg pr. m2 (1.5 Twilight with one Inner
layer) (2.4 is the woollen qualities with 2 Inner layers).
Rail options
Available in black or white, with a single manual rail choice, offering both straight and curved.
Application
Free hanging. For use directly against walls, a version without sound reducing layer can be supplied.
Installation
Curtain rail directly against the ceiling or soffit. The curtain can be delivered with or without rails. The rails are delivered made-to-measure.
Acoustic performance
Comprising three or four layers, with a Kvadrat textile on the front and back, Waves offers a sound transmission loss of 12-15dB. This reduces a 75dB noise level to approximately 60dB for speech frequencies, significantly improving acoustic comfort.
