Soft Cells

Re-engineered for greater design freedom

The updated solution introduces expanded panel formats, a new patented textile attachment system and refined detailing throughout, giving architects and designers significantly more freedom to specify, install and adapt acoustic surfaces over time. The result is cleaner, more precise installations — and a solution built to last longer and be reused.

Construction & Sustainability

Soft Cells are made-to-measure acoustic panels that incorporate an acoustic core behind a textile layer. The re-engineered construction improves the structural stability of the panels and has enabled an increase in recycled aluminium content to 83%, including 8% pre-consumer and 75%* post-consumer material, while reducing the total amount of aluminium used per panel by 10%*. These improvements reflect Kvadrat's Design Principles and our ongoing commitment to longevity and reduced reliance on virgin materials.

*Based on an average panel with a broadline configuration (55 mm depth, 1.2 × 2.4 m).

Panel Formats

Panels extend up to 1300 mm (51 in) in width and can be combined into one monolithic panel of endless length, enabling larger installations with very high dimensional precision. This is achieved through a newly developed, patented corner solution that secures the textile without adhesives, resulting in a cleaner construction and a consistently precise finish.

Installation

A newly designed family of stainless-steel installation fittings improves accessibility while sitting recessed for a cleaner visual expression. Intentionally aesthetic, the fittings support flexible installation on both walls and ceilings.
