After three decades in their previous office, Design Hotels moved into a new Berlin headquarters designed by RHO. Located on the top floor of AXIS near Ostkreuz, the workplace brings together a central community area, dedicated office space, a cafeteria and a creative studio within a light-filled interior defined by five-meter-high ceilings and full-height windows. Throughout the communal spaces, Kvadrat textiles contribute softness, warmth and flexibility to the architectural setting.
RHO conceived the headquarters as a tactile, timeless environment that could support changing ways of working. Open and enclosed settings sit alongside one another, allowing the workplace to move between collaboration, informal exchange and more focused activities. At its centre, the community area combines a floating reception desk, modular seating, meeting space and a raised podium at different levels.
