Intern, Movable Acoustics, Kvadrat Acoustics Copenhagen

Founded in Denmark in 1968, Kvadrat is rooted in Scandinavia’s renowned design heritage. Today, we are recognized internationally for pushing the boundaries of textile innovation and creating high-quality upholstery and curtain fabrics, rugs, and acoustic solutions for both commercial and residential spaces.

We are now looking for an intern for our Kvadrat Movable Acoustics department for Autumn 2026 (August/September – December/January) who wants to gain hands-on experience in an international design company where creativity, innovation, and collaboration are at the core.

Throughout the internship, you will work closely together with experienced colleagues and contribute to the team’s projects while developing your own skills. You will also be a part of our network “Kvadrat Student” where you get participate in both academic and social events with out other interns, student helpers, and trainees.

About the Role

As an intern, you will become part of our Kvadrat Movable Acoustics team and play an important role in the ongoing development of a new category in Kvadrat Acoustics. You will work closely with the product design specialist, the Kvadrat Acoustics production, and other internal and external stakeholders gaining insight into how a new category is developed and introduced to the markets and customers.

Your primary responsibilities

• Assist the product specialist, working on everyday tasks

Support maintaining and update documentation documents, the configuration tool and design guide

• Support the design and test process on new items

Help the Team with various tasks throughout the product expansion

• Handle ad hoc and hands on tasks related to projects and products including installation support
• Be part of the Movable Acoustics development team working with the core product WAVES
• Work on documentation, adjustments on design features and go out for probable installation support

What We’re Looking For

• We are looking for an intern who are currently enrolled in a relevant Danish educational program where internship is a part of the education.
  • You could be a Design student in the area of product design or design engineering and or with a craftmanship background.
• You are curious, proactive, and ready to take responsibility.
• You have strong teamwork skills and a positive mindset.
• You match our values; Quality, Passion, Empathy, Creativity, and Sustainability.
• You feel comfortable to work in a hands-on works shop environment.

Practical Information about the Internship

• The internship period will be agreed upon individually, but we envision it lasting 4-6 months.
• Our office is located with easy access to public transportation.
• The internship is unpaid but includes free lunch
